Join us for a Choral Evensong

Today is the third Sunday after Trinity and our  Canon Quentin Bellamy invites you to join him for a service of Choral Evensong.

The Psalm appointed is 9 sung by the choir of York Minster. The canticles, sung by Ecclesium Choir are by Philip Stopford his Keble Canticles and the anthem, also by Philip Stopford and sung by Ecclesium Choir is a setting of the hymn Come down O love divine.

The office hymn evening is “May the grace of Christ my saviour” and the hymn “Lord of beauty thine the splendour”; and both are sung by the choir of Norwich Cathedral.

The organ voluntary is Herbert Brewer’s transcription of the Angel’s Farewell from The Dream of Gerontius by Edward Elgar and will be played for us by David Dunnett on the organ of the Norwich Cathedral.
